absolutely precious, like a soft warm hug. i loved dev and charlie both so much, AND loved everyone in the entire ensemble cast, which almost never happens. plus there were some really deep and thoughtful discussions on mental illness and queer identity that i was surprised to find in here, but also really loved.
also i loved the way this author described little things? like charlie thinking he wanted to bottle up dev and spread him like sugar over strawberries ... i am not above saying i swooned.
i think the only thing holding me back from 5 stars is this was just story tension/beat wise a little, idk, messy? it was so little that i feel like maybe i'm being too hyper-critical, but i think it could've just been a little tighter. but i also get it's a debut and i love how this author writes and cannot WAIT to pick up their next book.
