you guys should look up the realms of ruin nft scandal - it's hilariously awful
While I really did not enjoy book 4 in this series, “The Conference of the Birds” really made up for it. It was fast paced, had you wanting to keep reading and even has a good cliff-hanger ending. Book 4 was really slow paced for me and was a struggle to finish, but this one, I almost had to force myself to slow down so I could enjoy it more!
Probably my least favourite book in the series so far (and I love this series).
For me The Conference of The Birds felt flat, it was a filler novel that (in my mind) should have been twice the length to actually close off the story... There are two or three stories running at once, none of which really get any closure or solid explanation and I'm left feeling disappointed more than anything.
Don't get me wrong, my reading tastes have changed over the years, it might just be YA isn't for me anymore. Lowest score of the series so far!
With each book in this series the trials that the characters go through get more intense and complex. I enjoy the way the characters are maturing and developing their own rebellious personalities which extended to their deeper understanding of the politics of the peculiar world. Even though I have some critiques that I often see with series of this length, the heart of the story was there and it still remains one of my favourite series.
This book is better than the last one. I really enjoyed every bit of it and only wished it were longer. I hate cliff hangers. Now I have to wait for the next book to come out and I'm not very good at waiting. I can't wait to find out what happens to... well, everyone!
though this one was shorter i feel like this one was packed with everything and more with this series. im sad i only have one more in this series...but so happy i picked it up. definitely worth a read and will be a traditional re-read too
