I fully admit to a second of cranky adult (you can be bored if you have to be at a desk or in a meeting without the necessity of an engaging task but the necessity of earning paycheck!) but it's hard to argue that especially for the younger generations, getting out and exploring, treasuring that resources a library can provide are important, dare I say even more so as the amount of screens proliferate in children's lives. I cannot get over Alvarez (Gomez)'s use of colour, so rich and varied, it's this lovely layered feel without being overwhelming. Adds such life to the stories she illustrates.
