While I've always liked the Flavia books this one really hits it out of the park! Flavia is growing up and the author is growing too. This sixth book in the series goes somewhere just a little bit beyond words. Yes we still have the humor and the good story telling but this time the tale is nuanced and a pure delight to read.

Thank you Mr. Bradly for an excellent romp and read all wrapped up in a shroud of grief.
