Awful, drawn out, pointless garbage. I managed to finish it, but several times wanted to just put it away.

I thought that the blurb for the book was actually a better read than the book itself. Sometimes you watch a film based on a book and you think to yourself “well, at least they got the names right”. This was almost the same - the blurb promised one thing, the book delivered something else.
