The fate of Mercy Alban

3.5 stars because of the end.

This couldn't decide if it wanted to be a ghost story or a family mystery/thriller. I wish it decided or fleshed things out a little bit more. We have a woman coming back to this fancy house because her mother died (agree with other reviews that mentioned that no one seemed to really mourn the mother, it was VERY much used as a plot device). She comes with her daughter and gets immersed in a family mystery. I think this would've been better if it was much more fleshed out and more time was spent to fully develop everything. Either that, or decide on how to move forward with the story and stick to one route.

The very end made me excited though and I will read more from this author.
