It wasn't awful, but there were several eye rolling moments. Early on I had figured out the basic mystery. There were a couple surprises, but most of it was obvious. I loved the characters even though they were deeply flawed and they didn't even know it. The lack of acknowlegement of these flaws was bothersome. The slowness of Grace, the reverend's lack of faith, the daughter's sudden amnesia, the secrecy of the staff, etc. It was a little too much to accept and love them and the whole story.
There is mystery, supernatural, psychosis, and secret passageways. So that could interest some. The plot and characters are a bit weak, but that may not bother some.
