Colin Novak is the big man on campus. Huge—if the rumors are to be believed. Nearly every girl at Davidson University has had a ride on him . . . everyone, except me.
Which is fine. This frat boy may be irritatingly hot, all carved muscle with a deceptively wholesome smile, but that’s irrelevant. He’s a Sig.
When I catch his fraternity cheating at the Greek Week tournament, he denies it—causing our rivalry between houses to escalate. Colin and I may have started the mud fight, but it grows into an all-out war, and ends with us expelled from our houses.
Now I’m homeless and it’s all his fault.
So, while answering an ad for a leading role at an adult film company wasn’t part of my career path, the work comes with a lot of perks. Steady salary. Accommodations close to campus. A safe place to explore my fantasies.
Except when I show up for my audition, my partner is none other than my new archenemy—Colin. And our sexual chemistry is explosive.
We hate how attracted we are to each other, and I despise that I want every scene to be with him. Because the longer we live together, the more I see he’s not who I thought he was.
This frat boy was so easy to hate . . . but what if he’s even easier to love?

I don't get tired, nor will I ever get tired of reading this book! It is a 5/5 so big that uff, the chemistry of the protagonists, how well it is explaining the world for adult movies and consent, etc, that is simply wonderful.
I always put myself at the complete disposal of this author because everything I read is BRUTAL

So, I won't rate this one because tbh there wasn't anything wrong with the writing and I was hesitating to even pick it up. Why when I liked the previous three? This just isn't my thing. I hesitated to pick it up and when I did I read 10% and just felt stress. I quick after 5 chapters which is right before their first sex scene/audition – this is where it should be getting good and yet I was still feeling dread and stress. I'm definitely thinking it is just the circumstances + type of kink that aren't working for me. Honestly, returning it to the library was so relieving.
But hey!! Now I know and I think that's like a major part of exploring and reading, yeah?
Another thing is I care WAY more about plot and relationship building than I do spice and this book will definitely be 95% spice, right?
Let's go with some positives:
- Writing is great. I'm definitely going to read more by Nikki Sloane and 100% see myself re-reading The Pool Boy or The Doctor in the future.
- Sex work positive. Now, I can't comment on this too much since I'm quitting RIGHT BEFORE it starts, but the interview, the comforting vibes, the fact that it is married couple who do porn as the company owners, and Nina in general felt right. Knowing the SW would be talked about not as dirty, but as experimenting, fun, and naughty was one of the main reasons I seriously considered continuing the book.
- On that note: sex positive. Sex is great, not dirty and the open relationship talk was light and just... there. It is a feminine-gaze porn studio so their pleasure is said to be really important and idk it was just a cool vibe.
- Characters both seem alright... kind of bland, but again I was only 5 chapters in. Like, my big thing is why didn't we get a scene of her asking her friend why she lied and didn't back her up. Again... this book is more spice than plot, so I doubt we'd get an answer sigh
So yeah, not for me, but I definitely see people enjoying this. I'm looking forward to the next release!!
