My first Danielle Steel. Read because of the recommendation of a parent at school who loves this story. I was surprised by the narrative force of this tale. And I'm still thinking about the way Steel (why do I want to put an “e” on the end of her name?!) like Precious Ramotswe leads the reader into belief that the assumptions she makes are assumptions everyone makes.
