The triumphant third and final part of the God-King Chronicles. The Godbreaker is the unmissable culmination of the series, filled with war-dragons, armoured knights, sea-faring raiders, dangerous magic and battle scenes. War comes to Narida and Nothing Will Be The Same Again. As the Black Keep Council prepares for war, journeying far to protect their lands and friend, The God-King and his sister try to keep Narida together in the face of betrayal while the Splinter King remains at large. The Golden and his hordes of raiders press their advantage and sweep across the land with unholy powers. Sacrifices will be made, and not everyone will make it back to Black Keep alive...

I love the God-King Chronicles for the unique worldbuilding and for portraying the conflict between clashing cultures and telling the story of how they can coexist instead of having them kill each other off.
I really hate it when people refer to themselves in 3rd person, but I ADORE how it's being used in this series, especially Saana who claims to be “this man” because “man” holds power and she needs this new place and culture to understand she's a woman of power to be taken seriously.
I love a lot of these characters. They've become a sort of comfort read family for me every time I picked up one of these books (and I want a Talon and a Thorn too).
But.
Too much focus were given to characters that did not really matter to me. I wasn't invested in the storylines of The Golden and Nari Reborn and even Marin and Alazar, but at least they all serve a purpose for the story. With Jeya and Bulang I just don't see any point of this storyline except for the sole purpose of worldbuilding... or sowing seeds for a future series in the same world?
So the verdict: I liked this book because I loved the first two. It has a lot of wonderful things, but also a lot of unnecessary things. I hate Brooks a little for one specific event (stop toying with my heart!), and with that I'll let it be up to you whether that's enough intrigue to finish this 665 pages worth of rulebending finale.
