The Gone World

I read this in about a week, and disliked it. I was just reading through the negative reviews and found that I disagreed with most of them, so counter to my usual approach, I found a need to write more.

First off, I don't have trouble with the plausibility of anything really, aside fromthere could have been a one or two line explanation as to why she didn't ever upgrade her leg in an IFT and why there wasn't any kind of NCIS team that "stayed behind" to work on a case to make sure that when an agent went to the future important leads hadn't just been left unfollowed by the FBI.

Mostly, I just hated reading this book. It's super gruesome, super dark, and the happy ending is "yay, her friend lives so she's going to get to live an untroubled life as a teen mom, like her mom, but at least humanity doesn't die."

So many interesting concepts that I wish had been in a different book.
