The Grace of Kings (The Dandelion Dynasty, #1)

Kind of a contemporary, high-fantasy, told, to a certain extent, in the style of Chinese history (The Romance of the Three Kingdoms). Definitely recommend bookmarking the list of characters and the (surprise!) glossary at the end for easy reference.
