There are much better collections out there.
These stories all have a moral point. Giving completely of yourself, the abusive friendships, etc. The tales are more sad than happy. I felt they correlated with religious parables and I didn't fully agree with their messages.
I was oblivious that I had already read this as a child. So it's considered a re-read. :)
Most of the stories channeled sad vibes (i.e. The Happy Prince, The Star-Child, et cetera). However, “The Devoted Friend” irked me. How I would have loved to pummel that Miller with those flour sacks of his. And as always, Wilde is amazing.
