Set in 1858 and the continuation of the story of the glass goldfinch, made by the Grassick patriarch. It's probably the weakest Eakes story I've read, but I suspect she edited and updated it when she re-released it, so I'm not going to bother spelling out what made it weak. The first and third books are better done.
