Sometimes you just need to read something as light as a souffle, and this book fits the bill. Piper's husband goes missing in a storm, but Piper goes on as if her husband were alive. Gradually the whole island also goes along with Piper and pretends her husband is still alive. Then Anders Coldwell, a journalist, shows up, and latches onto the story...
You know what's going to happen in the end, but the characters are so charming you can't resist following through to the finale.
A charming and sweet story that touches on grief, longing, and podcasts (lol) 3.5 good for an easy quick book with some feels
Blehhhhhh. Maybe it's my fault for reading another chick lit/light romance right before this book. Or maybe this book is just boring.
