The Isles of Shoals Remembered

Spend one year in time with the artists, musicians, and writers who visited Celia Thaxter's Isles of Shoals arts' colony in the 1880s. The salon was a precursor and inspiration for the MacDowell colony and this charming reproduction of an original daybook gift from the time includes artwork by Childe Hassam, musical inscriptions from Edward MacDowell, and poetry from Celia Thaxter. The author has augmented the original with historical photos and his own text.
