This book is set in an Egyptian inspired world full of myths, exploring themes of family, loyalty, resilience, betrayal, power, and trauma. However, romance is not the forefront of this story instead we have friendships as a more prominent part.
It was a fun enemy to lovers with a very slow burn and medium paced story. Full of action and political intrigues. I cannot wait to find out what Arin will do in the sequel.

I really wanted to love this one. I loved the ambiance and even the magic system. The pacing was off and too often I found myself in a lull which made me want to put the book down altogether. I'll probably pick up the next in the series because the overall mood/ambiance/world felt so intriguing but much has to be fleshed out.
The Jasad Heir is an extraordinary ride that captures the imagination from the very first page. The author's unique twist on writing style breathes fresh life into the fantasy genre, making every chapter a delight to read. The innovative magic system is not only intriguing but also seamlessly integrated into the world-building, adding layers of depth and complexity that will keep readers hooked. The characters are well-developed and relatable, making their journeys and struggles deeply engaging. This book should be on everyone's reading list, especially for fans of high fantasy.
While some readers might miss the presence of smutty scenes and a glossary, these minor points do not detract from the overall experience. The rich and intricate world-building is compelling, and the story's pace ensures that you remain invested from beginning to end. The Jasad Heir stands out as a must-read, offering a captivating escape into a beautifully crafted fantasy world. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fresh and thrilling adventure in their reading journey
