The Last Days of August

i got a 30 day free trial of audible so i could listen to [b:Yes Please 20910157 Yes Please Amy Poehler https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1402815435s/20910157.jpg 40098620] for free, which also included access to two audible originals, so i downloaded the last days of august on a whim just because it was under the “thriller” category. i didn't know anything about it - i even thought it was fiction for the first 2 chapters lol. when i looked it up and realised it was non fiction, i enjoyed it even more. this is an “audiobook” but is really reminiscent of serial-style true crime podcasts - aka my favourite genre of podcasts. the story of august ames was really interesting, sad, and intriguing. it gives you insight on what really goes on in the porn industry. some big name porn stars are even featured in the audiobook! props to [a:Jon Ronson 1218 Jon Ronson https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1428023511p2/1218.jpg]!!! this was really well done and i'd gladly listen to his other work :)))
