The Last Text

Sweet little novella about moving past grief and finding love again, and realizing that loving someone new does not erase or diminish that first love. Unfortunately, I found myself frustrated with Merrick at several points for his selfishness, and I wanted Jace to call him out for it instead of being 100% supportive and patient. For example, Jace's sister is getting married and Merrick manages to make the event all about himself, i.e. how uncomfortable he is going to feel, whether or not he will be able to stay for the entire event instead of how he can be there for Jace and share in his happiness.

Gets a few extra points for Merrick's unusual pets, who are both creepy and adorable at the same time.
