A description of a voyage undertaken in 1920/21 by the author and a companion, initially as cabin boys but later promoted to ordinary seamen, in the 4-masted fore-and-aft schooner Rosamond from San Francisco to Capetown with timber and return to Seattle and San Francisco in ballast.
