There might only be 300 pages but this book felt a lot bigger than that, there's a lot of influx of information and at times I did feel a little cross eyed from it all.
I thought it was nice that the FMC was the ‘wild' one for a change and I liked that she had to coach the MMC through life as a werewolf, unfortunately though I didn't see any real romantic chemistry between Ti and Sil, they felt more better suited as friends.
Also I expected Silver to be more angry with Ti over his betrayal, her reaction was quite mellow considering and I thought he could've worked a bit harder for forgiveness.
I won this in a giveaway a while back. I loved the cover but once I read what it was about I was a little hesitant about reading it. While deciding what to read for one of my romanceopoly prompts I realized this would work so I decided to go ahead and give it a shot.
While reading the prologue I was asking myself what did I get myself into? Once I got to chapter 1 though things were so much better. This is a paranormal shifter romance and I am almost certain I've never read a shifter romance which is another reason I was skeptical but it ended up working for me.
I have to admit it's a little weird reading from Silvers perspective at times because even though she can be in human form she is more wolf than anything and you can tell by how she reacts or does things etc. but once you get used to it it's not a bad read.
Of course I love the romance in this it flowed so seamlessly throughout the story. I only have one niggle when it comes to the romance and that is when Ti comes clean to Silver about what he has done she forgives him way to quickly. I feel like that scene needed to be elaborated on because I don't know anyone who would forgive and forget that quickly.
Overall I really enjoyed this story and I want to know what happens with the characters in the following books.
This is a hard one to review. Mostly because I felt so removed from the book and writing. It is so interesting and felt so unique, but I just couldn't connect, so I didn't feel as into it.
But the writing and the story... I honestly don't know what to stay about it. It has a pretty gritty feel to it with an easy feel to it. It feels so straightforward, but complicated at the same time.
Wow... this review makes absolutely no sense, but this is generally how I feel about the book. I didn't want to stop reading it, I wanted to just live in the feeling the book gave me, yet it felt like it was missing one thing since I wasn't completely in it.
I'm SO glad I picked this one up. I'm totally going to read the next book. If you're interested in Shifter books where the romance isn't the main topic or front and center, you should check this one out.
