ÓTIMO!
——————————————————-
· 5ish stars.
easily.
the first thought that crossed my mind after finish the book was “Gimme thousands of those kinds of books that I will read (or listen) them straight away!”
they are so compelling.
It's been days and I can't write a decent review.
I liked it very much, I think I can read it again in the future definitely.

I liked the premise of this book, but I was disappointed in the way it all played out. With such a compelling topic I felt the author concentrated too much on the characters romantic entanglements and not enough on the war efforts of the women.
I also wasn't a fan of a woman willing to sacrifice everything for a man she met a few months ago. With a daughter at home, I thought that was very irresponsible of her and totally self-absorbed. I'm all for love, but how about the love you should have for your daughter.
That being said, it did have a decent ending and I felt it managed to redeem itself somewhat in the last few chapters.
What a journey of courageous women who worked covertly during the war. In the government's eyes they didn't exist and were not allowed titles or accomodations. These were mothers, daughters, and wives and some of the bravest women to fight for justice which makes their betrayal all the more horrendous. They deserved to have their stories told and to be recognized for the roles they had in the war. Enter Grace who gets wrapped up in this mystery and is unstoppable in her determination to find out who these women were, and why they were betrayed. I enjoyed following her journey as she delves into the past and brings about the knowledge of these strong and heroic women.
