The Magic of Recluce

This book introduced me to the stories of L.E. Modesitt Jr. many years ago. I have the printed copy in my library, but thought I'd glance through it here on this forum - the "glance" turned into reading every word about young Lerris and the world Mr. Modesitt created for him with the constant backdrop of chaos and order. I'm going to go through my library for the part 2 book to finish that particular story. I'm not going into any details on this current book because the effect and adventure of the this tale is best taken as a cumulative journey for the reader, I think you'll agree. gmb 8/17/2020
