The Mercy

I had a hard time with this one. It normally doesn't take me two weeks to read a book.

It took me awhile to get into it for a couple of reasons. The biggest one is that there was some kind of formatting issue. (I'm not sure if it's because it is an advanced copy? I hope that's all it is.) I noticed that any sentences that started with words beginning with ‘th' were missing the ‘th.' For example, the would “though” would appear as “ough.” It made things hard to follow until I figured out what was going on.

I also felt that the first half of it was kind of jumpy and hard to follow. It picked up for me me in the last half of the book. Overall, it wasn't the book for me.

I will say one thing - I definitely didn't see the end coming!
