The Mindf*ck Series

The Risk is the first book in the much hyped Mindfck series. The premise appealed to me a lot (who doesn't love a good ‘old revenge story?!). I read this with the girls again, we all read the consequences series together and that was a mind fck so this was just a continuation of what we love. Can I just say I expected the end and still loved it.

This is not in my usual genre of books but I got recommended it and demolished the series in one night. It's my Roman Empire I've reread it at least three times now. It's the perfect amount of tension, drama and intrigue with a story that just pulls on the heart strings. Definitely check your triggers for this one please, there are quite a few extremely sensitive topics that are brought up over and over again. In this series you will truly understand why women would pick the bear over men.

Absolutely brilliant.

One of my favorite things to read about is a good revenge moment and this book was an entire story of perfectly executed revenge moments.

The whole thing was just genius. The writing, plot, characters, pace, everything was so perfect. I'm pretty confident in saying there is not a single thing I didn't like about this.

Lana Myers is hands down my favorite fmc in any book I've ever read and I doubt anyone will top her. I was applauding anything she did and her kills made me smile every time. She's so incredibly likable, it's insane.

To me personally, the romance was a small part of the thrill compared to everything else that was going on. I loved Logan though, he was a sweetheart.
Every other character got the exact amount of spotlight needed for the story.
