Meu Deus!
This book was cute. I love books when it's the guy trying to win over the girl and the things Logan does in this book to win over Grace are hilarious and sweet at the same time. There are lots of appearances by Logan's teammates and I almost loved the friendship between the guys more than the romance. Anxious to hear who the next book in this series will be about. I'm hoping for Dean.
Story ⭐⭐⭐
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
This is the story of a guy obsessed over a girl that he only hooked up with her a couple of times and her instead of running 💨 away, she felt for him!
I love Elle Kennedy's writing style and this is what saves this book. But the 1st on this series was definitely by far better!
I ll be reading the rest of the series. I just hope they are based on more real relationships.
It was cute and I couldn't put it down. I liked the storyline and their romance, but personally, I'm over the college setting book, so this is my last one.
“Are you trying to buy your way into my good graces?”
“Yup. And excellent pun, by the way.”
“I wasn't punning. My name just happens to be a homonym.”
“I love it when you talk homonyms to me.”
There are books you read in a week, there are books that you might even finish over a couple of days, and then there are those addictive little gems that you inhale all at once, reading non-stop, often in the wee hours of the morning, showing complete disregard for your real life responsibilities, and loving every blissful moment of it. Flawlessly written—as I've now come to expect from this terrific author after the pleasant surprise that was The Deal—this is a story that had me grinning cover to cover, and while it had the perfect combination of engaging plotline and fulfilling character development, this was first and foremost a fun, heart-warming read. One I will definitely want to re-read very soon, whenever the fussy reader in me starts aching for a book to make me smile.
“He's John fing Logan, one of the most popular guys at Briar. And I'm Grace fing Ivers, one of thousands of girls who are crushing on him.”
Grace Ivers is a good girl—cautious, responsible, always in control, a freshman in college...and a virgin. She is the girl no one notices because she does nothing to attract attention, even though she would give anything to be seen by her one and only college crush, the star defenseman of the hockey team. But good girls like Grace are not even on John Logan's radar these days, his relentless pursuit of ‘easy lays' whose name he is not even expected to know being the only kind of ‘relationship' he appears to be interested in. Secretly, however, Logan craves the kind of intimacy and emotional bond his best friend and teammate, Garrett Graham, has found in his life, to the point of convincing himself of being in love with his best friend's girl.
When Logan and Grace accidentally meet, they are both pleasantly surprised by how effortless and enjoyable it is to spend time in each other's company, their flickering attraction gaining momentum quickly and irresistibly, and while one kiss is all it takes for it to ignite, one confession is all it takes to destroy their budding relationship. As quickly as it started, it all ends in an instant, leaving them both heartbroken and full of regrets.
“I was your distraction?”
Not a man to give up easily on what he wants the most in life, Logan then commences his stubborn and utterly entertaining pursuit of the woman who has captured his heart like no other before her, determined to make her forgive him and give them one more chance. He woos her unashamedly, becoming his teammates' running joke, but Logan is a man on a mission and he refuses to give up until the one who has stolen his heart is his once again.
“Give me another chance. Let me prove to you that I'm not an egocentric a**.”
There are so many fabulous layers to this story, all working perfectly together to deliver an engaging, uplifting, unputdownable tale of opposites attracting, of two people being exactly what the other needs, in good times and in bad, and never giving up on each other. Ms Kennedy has given us two characters who steal our hearts from the get-go—a popular jock, reformed womaniser whose loyalty and selflessness make him impossible not to adore, and a strong, independent, kind-hearted heroine who loves fiercely, but respects herself the same way. The hilarious banter, the heart-warming romance, the skin-tingling sex scenes, the colourful array of secondary characters—this book excelled in every aspect, keeping me enthralled for hours, and it again left me craving for more from the irresistible Briar boys and their kickass leading ladies.
“I don't want anyone else. All I want is another chance.”
Did I just binge this book? Yes, I absolutely did! I can already tell that this series is going to be a guilty pleasure series for me. Is the storyline a bit predictable? Yea, but I don't even mind! I am obsessed with the characters that Elle Kennedy has created for the series, and I am starving for more. Does this mean I will continue on my binge? Absolutely. This book follows Logan and Grace and their journey. It starts off with one night stand vibes, but ends with Logan proving his love and his worth. Their romance is so tender and adorable. Logan carries a weight around with him that makes me want to jump through my kindle and just give him a fictional hug. Their sexual tension is thick, y'all! The payoff is worth it though. I am addicted to this series and cannot wait to binge the rest! As with the previous book, there may be some topics that are triggering, so definitely check the warnings before reading. This is an New Adult Romance, 18+ for themes, language, and sexual content.
Synopsis: John Logan, hockey player, has been enjoying college life to the full but is getting increasingly despondent about what life after graduation has in store for him. A chance encounter with freshman Grace, with whom he has an instant connection, seems like an ideal distraction until Logan handles a situation between them badly and Grace no longer wants anything to do with him.
“I love you, you stupid jackass!”

discussions of alcoholism and addiction.
Aw I love Logan & Grace so much!! She's so quirky and awkward and he's just so endearing, they are perfect together.
I don't really know what to say about this book. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best thing ever. Just a mediocre hockey romance. But honestly for what it is it is good
i don't think anybody could ever top garrett and hannah for me, but i really love logan and grace too. i'm happy logan got to have his own “happy ending” because he deserves it so much. can't wait to read the next book, which i will start reading tomorrow ❤️

“Why would I? Seriously, what guy turns down Die Hard? The only thing that could sweeten this deal is if you offered me some booze.”“I don't have any.” She stops to think. “But I've got a whole bag of gummy bears hidden in my desk drawer.”“Marry me,” I say instantly.”

These books are so much fun to read. I absolutely love them. [b:The Deal|44019703|The Deal (Off-Campus, #1)|Elle Kennedy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1550272258l/44019703.SY75.jpg|44100599] was definitely my favourite of these two, but this was pretty cute too. Logan and Grace are amazing characters. Logan is such a romantic (which i did not expect for some reason?) and Grace is an absolute sweetheart. I could relate to her more than other female protagonists in the series.
The only reason i like [b:The Mistake|32276195|The Mistake (Off-Campus, #2)|Elle Kennedy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1475249810l/32276195.SY75.jpg|44707128] a little lesser than [b:The Deal|44019703|The Deal (Off-Campus, #1)|Elle Kennedy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1550272258l/44019703.SY75.jpg|44100599] is because of how back and forth Grace and Logan's relationship is. I mean we love some grovelling but this was for a MAJOR portion of the book. Absolutely love Grace standing up for herself and not letting men walk over her though.
AND THE EPILOGUE DSKDJB. Hannah and Garrett have my entire heart, it was so wholesome. i'm going to cri.
Also I really, really love how fast paced these books are. I'm supposed to be studying; so how fast i go through these, helps with my guilt. Then again, now i need to know how the author's going to get Dean to date in the next book. so guess I'm reading [b:The Score|32276196|The Score (Off-Campus, #3)|Elle Kennedy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1475250155l/32276196.SY75.jpg|45217167] now.
Overall love the dynamic between the characters, the banter between them and the university setting. You should definitely read the Off-Campus series if you want to read something light-hearted and entertaining.
I forgot how funny Logan was!!!
Grace is a freshman when they meet, and inexperienced. Logan makes a mistake with her, and grace is just done with him. He tries to call her countless times over the summer, but she doesn't want to talk.
Eventually once school is back, they cross paths again.
The only want grace is going to give Logan a second chance is if he completes these 6 crazy romantic gestures to prove he's sorry and is deserving of a date.
Well Logan is stubborn and is desperate to win her back, so of course he finishes.
They have obstacles, but the relationship is solid. The two have disagreements but always come back to one another.
Logan is such a sweet man and loyal to the end
