This is a hard book to read. I had tried previously (a couple of years ago) and I couldnt.
This time I decided I would.. And now I feel divided. If you consider the story or writing, it is an awful book (honestly).
On the other hand if you consider the message or accessibility of this book, then you might consider it good - I do think the messages are good, simple, clear and understandable. The format is just not for me..
This book is a great fable about a man who realizes that though he had wealth and success, he wasn't living a fulfilling life. The book gives the reader the tools to live the meaningful life. Sharma gives some great advice and teaches the reader to truly analyze one's current life as well as the life one can live. He teaches us to: eliminate negative thoughts and think positive thoughts, live the life you were meant to live, develop self discipline, value your time and nourish your relationships, and truly live the fullest life you can, one day at a time. At first read it can feel overwhelming to take on the lifestyle he encourages. However, he teaches us how to break it down into pieces and take baby steps towards living this amazing and fulfilling life. There are great summaries at the end of each chapter that nicely outline each lesson and technique. I highly recommend this for anyone and everyone.
