San Francisco - 1906. Mail order bride marries widower with 6 year old daughter. Widower = philanderer. 3 current wives. Characters are well-developed and the San Francisco earthquake is a character as well. Very well-written. Couldn't stop reading. Fast-paced.

Great story, great characters and a super interesting backdrop of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The details of the aftermath of the quake were fascinating. It was super impressive how well run and agile the emergency response was. I'll definitely be looking into the subject with more depth.
