The Perks of Meddling

This series is just too much fun. There are some serious crimes going on, but the tone of the story isn't dark; though it might get darker as they get closer to cornering a serial killer.

Though it begs disbelief a little that her mother wouldn't have used figures of speech in twenty-plus years, her errors in idiom are so funny I don't really mind.
