I've been reading Ree Drummond's blog for a few months now—ever since I saw a recipe on her off-shoot Web site, Tasty Kitchen, for slow-cooker chicken tacos—and I find her to be a hilarious, engaging writer. Her recipes are delicious, simple, and entertaining to read, and her life brings romantic images to many women's minds. This cookbook is not for those who are aiming to lose weight or maintain a particularly healthy lifestyle, but I can imagine myself in the future, returning to this cookbook for wonderful comfort food. This is the only cookbook I've ever read that I've actually read the recipes, from the anecdotes to the ingredients to the preparation steps.
