He was hired to paint the portrait of a young woman at Woolvercombe Mansion, but Tom Rigby didn't know she was after more than a painting. He wondered about the identities of the strange inhabitants of the house and the bizarre events that began to happen. And suddenly he was catapulted into a rendezvous with terror and violence, as the power of the supernatural wielded its horrifying spell!

Solid, semi-classy Brit horror. Takes a while to get going but goes to some fun places by the end.

I liked it until the protagonist left the house. The rest was a slog to get through with a few moments where I thought it gets interesting again – only to end with an absolutely underwhelming final.
