Ben Snow is not a very lucky man. Not only is he a drifter and way too fast on the draw, but his age and general appearance match those of the late unlamented Billy the Kid; which can lead people to jump to dangerous conclusions. He often has to save his neck by solving a crime -- usually murder -- and then get out of town before someone starts putting two and two together and coming up with five. Excellent collection of stories, a little on the dark side, by a master of the craft.
