The Rogue King

Almost perfect book. Romantic fantasy well done and I am now completely engrossed in the clan wars even though I was scratching my head to try and keep up with the history in the beginning.

1 star lost for an otherwise great romance that got ruined at the last 100 pages with the “I knew I shouldn't have trusted you” trope followed by the heroine not allowing him to explain himself. Dumb. But fairly common in romance so it happens.

I'm nervous for book two bc the hero hasn't been my favorite guy but I will continue anyway.

I got this book through my BaeCrate subscription and overall I definitely think it's worth it.
