I read another review of this book that stated that it is partially Kate Middleton fanfiction. Which is true. But I love Kate Middleton. This book was great. I loved it.
Ugh, switched editions and Goodreads ate my review. I'll just say that I wish the ending was a little less abrupt (maybe a sequel?) and I really enjoyed the rest of it, particularly all the behind the scenes stuff - it's clear the authors really did their research when it came to all that.
I absolutely adored this book. It would have benefitted from a bit more editing, but despite that I enjoyed it immensely. This coming from someone who woke up at 2:30 am to live stream the wedding of Will and Kate though, so take that for what it's worth.
Night Renata stayed up too late to read this, to the dismay of Day Renata! This was great for me to read when I was feeling grumpy–it's really sweet and fun (though with depth to it). I'm not necessarily a huge fan of the royal family etc, but I am interested in the concept of celebrity and this book explores it really well. I prob would not have picked this up except that I love the Fug Girls' blog, and I'm glad I did!
This book was FUN. Engaging and compelling. The funny parts made me laugh and the sad parts made me cry. When I emerged from reading this, it took me a minute to remember where I was. Excellent escapism.
I read the first 2 chapters of this book a few days ago and set it back down, thinking I wouldn't like it. Last night I picked it back up and I suddenly couldn't put it down?
