Two down, four books to go! It's definitely a personal taste issue that stops me from wholeheartedly recommending these books. Gaiman (and associated artists) is a powerhouse of imagination and intense sentiment. I think the argument can be made that the violence and nudity fit the theme. It's impactful rather than gratuitous, but it's also all VERY DARK. I will continue in the series, slowly.
Glad to see queer and trans rep.
Wish one of the few characters of colour and the trans character had not been among the dead by the end.
