The Scent Keeper

Interesting story. I didn't like how it just ended but pleased that the story tied up loose ends. It was so sad reading about Cleo the goat! It was sad that when she moved to the city she pretty much forgot about Henry and Colette until the end, although we don't know if she ever actually made it back to see them.

Observe the World. Unlock the World. This book starts out feeling like The Giver - and considering how long-beloved that book is, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. But then it morphs into a tale of a young woman finding herself and becomes so much... more. Truly a spectacular work that ends on the same kind of note as another highly successful pop culture phenomenon - Avatar. Amzing work, very much recommended.

Absolutely adored this book! It was so much more than I thought it would be....magical, emotional, beautiful, so many things. Stores where the character discovers secrets and things about their family are some of my favorites and this one tops my list. It was so well written and definitely kept me wanting to read more. Highly recommend this book.
