Guilty as Sin is the second book in the Sin trilogy and I'm so addicted to this feud: the stuff of legends indeed!
The story picks up right after the Richer than Sin cliffhanger and it never slows down! There's so much drama, passion, lust, love, heartache, Guilty as Sin is a very emotional roller coaster and I loved every second of it.
The storyline is wonderfully written, it switches back and forth between past and present, the transitions are perfectly done and the characters... are absolutely amazing. I think Meghan has a true gift for storytelling and for writing such rich, wonderful characters, there's so many characters I love to pieces, no matter their last name, like Whitney, Lincoln, McKinley, aunt Jackie, Cricket and Hunter, Magnus and Commodore, and a few others I absolutely hate like Karma, Harrison, Lincoln's mom and Ricky. All of these characters are truly remarkable and engaging and all of them play a role in this forbidden romance.
Guilty as Sin is a riveting, addictive, intense, unpredictable tale of a legendary feud and an epic second chance love story and you definitely can't miss this series. Oh... and there's a dramatic cliffhanger that left me desperate for the next book in the Sin trilogy: Reveling in Sin.
Okay it's official, I love Sj Tilly. Not in the I love her writing way but more in the I'd read the scribble of her signature on a receipt because that's how much I love her way.
Was this my favorite book by her? No BUT this girl could do absolutely no wrong and I will stand by that until I'm proven wrong. My intent to read her entire backlist gets stronger by each day.
The crumbs we got in the last story for Angelo got me so excited to read his story. The way he is describe holy mother of god. Angelo is tasked with the request to simply watch out for this girl while she is at work, little does he know she is his exact type and keeping his well planned distance becomes harder by the moment. We get some amazing body guard, protector moments with this book and I couldn't have been happier.
Beth is a girl on the run (one of my favorite types of girls) with her nephew when push comes to shove and Angelo slowly inserts into her life. I loved the tension between them in the beginning and the scene in her office wow wow wow. This book was so cute even with the slow impending doom crushing you. It had some good Christmas vibes towards the end which I adored.
If you see me start the third book tomorrow, no you didn't.
