The Thing at 52

The Thing seems to be lonely, so after watching him, a young lady begins to make friends with him. As they grow their friendship, she begins to learn more about him, and she and her mom help to decorate his home.
After a fun party, she has to learn that nothing lasts forever and the Thing is about to leave.
Soon someone new moves into the home and they seem happy - which makes her happy.

Great little read, and a good book on introducing new friendships.
