I spent a decent amount of this book crying! I loved the characters relationships and Apollo's growth as a character. I cried a lot over the Arrow of Dodona, and Apollo's almost death. The ending was very sweet with him visiting everyone, and I think the Chalice of the Gods storyline and the Sun and the Star were referenced so I'm excited to read those soon. I can't believe the Trials of Apollo are over. I enjoyed the series more than I thought I would originally. Definitely worthy of a reread in a few years.
“Call on me. I will be there for you.”
That was a spectacular finale for Apollo! All I want now is to know what Rick's plans are for the future. The Bast/Mirmir references are boggling my brain. I need to know what the prophecy is that Rachel spouted at the end is for. Could it be for Nico and Will's journey to Tartarus (where they may be saving Bob?) is that why they were uneasy? I feel like he left this world very open for the potential of a MAJOR crossover, however the fact that he didn't give us a sneak peak of the prophecy like he did in PJO and HOO so it is hard to know what direction we are going in next. The addition of Lu will easily tie Meg's world to the Celtic gods that he is writing about next. Annabeth is the bridge for Magnus, and Carter and Sadie already worked with Percy and Annabeth. We will have to wait and see, but for now I think we can definitely count on Will and Nico's adventures to recovery.
