Someone had set up Skye Fargo, the Trailsman, to take the rap for the murder of Howard Kent. And Fargo's only clue was Kent's beautiful, red-haired widow, who pointed the law in his direction. But by the time Fargo managed to break out of jail, she had lit out along the Oregon Trail, leaving the Trailsman only one choice.
