My maiden name is Andrews and growing up that gave me one more reason to love Julie Andrews other than the Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast and many many more things of my youth including the Princess Diaries. When I discovered a few years ago that Julie and her daughter co-authored several children's books I was excited, because having been entertained by Julie in my childhood I'm sure her books are delightful. I have read a few of them in passing and in my nanny years, but The Very Fairy Princess is my first one for my daughter's shelf and I am very pleased. In a manner similar to [b:My Name is Not Isabella 3486558 My Name is Not Isabella Jennifer Fosberry http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266630177s/3486558.jpg 3527973] this book is great for the imagination and for showing a girl that she is everything that she dreams she can be. It is a very pink book, but then yet, every little girl needs a good dose of pink every now and again. The glitter of the cover is a real big hit and the artistry is fun. I really enjoy this one. Thanks to Little Brown for Young Readers for providing a copy for review.
