2.5 stars rounded up because the writing is good.

Romance was again SO under developed for me and the falling in love with someone I'm supposed to be protecting for someone else thing already happened in this series so I was over it. A lot of back and forth plot wise too and the overarching plot didn't really move forward.

Meira and Sam as characters were meh and were less than meh together. Unfortunately I really didn't get their chemistry.

I definitely think the first book in this series is worth it but this one was just not fun.
