I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I had high hopes for this book , with all the name dropping in the description, Tolkien, etc. I was not impressed. Anna is a Greek refugee. After the Turks killed hear mother, her brother believed dead in the war, her father is all she has left. They move to England to start over. With her father always busy with his meetings, Anna explores the city. When she sees something she shouldn't have, it sets off a chain of events that change her life again. I think to classify this as sci-fi/fantasy is misleading. I would say it's more religious than anything. Not my cup of tea.
