This book is so cute, I wish I'd received it as a gift and may very well give it as one in the future. It isn't some high-and-mighty book proclaiming to know all the secrets to curing insomnia or a dull self-help novel you'll never find time to read. Instead, it's an adorable book which uses repetitive tasks and puzzles with a dash of humour and some useful (if also very common) tips to guide you into a state of readiness for sleep.
Due to the review copy I received being a digital edition, I definitely feel like I missed out on some of the charm and usefulness of this book. Having it open on a phone's reading app is not going to help with sleep no matter what and several of the activities were impossible to complete due to spanning two pages instead of one. As such, I'm doing a tiny bit of guessing when I rate it and going more on cuteness and presumed usefulness to decide my rating.
Overall, I liked this book. There wasn't much to read, but what was there seemed large enough it could be read without my glasses - a plus for the concept of helping with sleep. And Kip the sheep? Oh, I adore him so! As a gift for a loved one who stays up too late on occasion, this would be a home run. As a tool for someone battling crippling insomnia... well, it will at least give them something to do while trying to sleep, but I highly doubt it'll fix their problems.
