What an absolutely fascinating concept for a devotional! Now, while I cannot comment in full on the content of the devotional skimming through I would consider myself a fan and definitely think about getting this for a boy in my life in the age range of 9-12 years old. The cover is awesome, with sparkles that make it flash and stand out and tons of neat boyish things like gadgets and games and books and more. Discussing this one with my husband, I asked the Enginerd to consider himself a boy of this age again and try to remember if he would be interested in this or not. He said that quite honestly if it were just himself he might not, but if it were with a group at church that was meeting to discuss and it was kinda like homework he's sure he would be very interested.
I think this is great. It might be a bit overwhelming with something everyday. But then I think that could be a challenge. Also, I think that if it is made clear that if a day is missed here and there it's not a failure that would help too. It's about time there was a devotional for this age group that was of some substance, and with this thickness I think that the boy in your life could finally see that you believe in him to take this dare and be the man he was made to be.
