One of those books I read as a teenager and decided to reread. What a delight! Rodrigo Cambará is pure energy, magic and appeal. His personality flows through the lines and compels you, and before you know it, you're as fascinated by him as everyone else in Santa Fé - except maybe Bibiana.
Veríssimo is amazing.
