Under the Yoke
1888 • 462 pages

It describes the regime from the Bulgarians about 1875 under the rule of the Ottoman ( Turkish ) occupation.
The hero Ognenov is wandering around Sopot and Klisura and prepares an uprising but at the end almost all the
Bulgarian people were killed, except for an village idiot. The book was previous published in 1894 by Bude in
Amsterdam, but until now no copy could be traced, even not in the Royal Library in The Hague. There are
several editions in may languages available in Sofia. The Royal Library has only one edition in french, a language
which is not exactly populair. Now I have completed the translation in Dutch, and I am looking for possibility
to publish it as E-book. When someone is interested, my adress is 66, Flevostraat - 1315 CD Netherlands.
