I liked the last of Karl's books that I read, but this one was heavy on the telling and on repeating things we already knew via conversation, which slowed the action. Also, it seemed odd the me that a professor would be that naive about human nature...I know that's not impossible, but it also didn't really work the way it was written. There was a good deal of suspension of belief going on, which is the main reason for a lower rating.
