Unlimited Memory

I've read a few books about improving memory techniques, this might be my favorite.

The book lays out a number of different memorization techniques. What I like about this book is that it cuts out a lot of fat and just explains the various processes.

Quite a read. My first book related to improving memory and self-help, I've been always a bit skeptical about these kind of books, mainly because I think they're full of crap.

As with anything you want to master, it will take time for the majority of the methods described in this book, specially, at least for me, the peg sytem for remembering numbers. It's quite a challenge if you want to translate some systems to your own language. I was amazed by how I managed to remember (and still do) Tony Buzan's 10 intelligences using the body method or the 14 superfoods using the car method; it blew my mind.

The main reason I decided to grab this from Amazon is because I really really hate forgetting, but my abhorrence of forgetting the stories from books or events related to a particular year know no limits. If I mix them together then it's hell on earth for me: forgetting the story from a book I read on some year. Ok, I know it is sometimes related to your level of interest but mostly is the lack or repetition if you really want something to stick in your memory. The author positivism was starting to pinch me in the brain. A highly recommended read nonetheless.
