Unseen Messages

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....I'm not sure there has ever been a harder book to write a review for... I doubt I'll be able to ever put into words what this book meant to me. Pepper is one of my absolute favorite authors, not only because every one of her books is beyond incredible but because I can connect with her writing better than any other author I know, simply due to our shared introvert qualities and fears. I understand her thought process when creating similar characters and I can truly understand how they feel. I've been there.. I've had those same fears and paranoia that other people call silly or expect you to be able to just change but Pepper.. she gets me. Estelle would get me.. These two, Estelle and Galloway, create something so pure and natural, I envied them, regardless of the horrible situations and circumstances they found themselves in. I've dreamt this book.. it is my fantasy.. so to speak.. A journey I've almost taken by choice. This book was beyond anything I could possible give justice to describing. It was powerful, inspirational and just so much more. I savored every word, every moment. Forget about how many thousands of pages I cried my eyes out experiencing this journey with them... hell, I'm tearing up now a day later writing this review!? Pepper- you absolutely slayed me with this book. THANK YOU for sharing your story with us! <3

Hoo boy, do I hate Galloway. I wanted him to just die on that island pretty much all the time. What a sexist man-child.Who the hell names their child Coconut???And omg EAT A TURTLE YOU'RE STARVING ARE YOU STUPID?! I skimmed this just to find out what happened.When I finished I realized I've read [b:Tears of Tess 18134894 Tears of Tess (Monsters in the Dark, #1) Pepper Winters https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1372821993l/18134894.SY75.jpg 25474810] from Pepper Winters. That got 3 stars from me. Clearly I just don't care for this author or her chauvinistic male characters.
